ChainCraft
Founded in 2010, ChainCraft develops proprietary mixed-culture fermentation technology to convert organic sidestreams into medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs). As PACE coordinator, the company leads the project's overall implementation, demonstrating Europe's first-of-its-kind full-scale retrofitted biorefinery while advancing circular chemistry through industrial biotechnology.

Royal AVEBE is an international cooperative of potato growers and a leading producer of potato starch and proteins. In PACE, AVEBE supplies the potato juice sidestream that forms the basis of the process and leads the retrofitting of its existing biorefinery to enable industrial-scale MCFA production.
